"My husband and I have a Diamond Resorts Fractional ownership and also have timeshare at Palm Oasis, Maspalomas, Gran Canaria that ownership was supposed to be transferred to Vacations4You. We had to buy 5000 points for this to happen but so far apart for paying the maintenance for us, this has not happened. What can we do about this?"

"I had originally signed up to Club La Costa and tried to get out through a resale company. They took a lot of money and this resulted in me being transferred over to Diamond Resorts with 2 weeks and some points with RCI. I sacrificed my weeks for points and have to try and make my bookings through RCI now. I'm not even sure how it works as it has never been explained to me."

"Recently I went to CLC World resort Malaga as part of promotional offer. Then they said there was a presentation. I attended. Then they said you have to pay £189 a month and maintenance fees of £890 pound . Then they said in 13 years or before you have pay around £25000 and I'll have a 1.9% fraction in a Tenerife Paradise resort property. They said that, after 19 years will sell the property and I will get the value of my fraction. We are really worried about this this company! Its nearly £3000 per year we have pay for this. Have we been trapped?"

When we try to sell it they put restrictions that we have to sell to either members of the family or other members of Diamond Resorts. Can we get rid of the points, relinquish our membership & get compensated for some of the money lost in membership fees?"

"We were persuaded to trade in our Discover Diamond membership for points for the bargain price of £12,000 for 30 years. Then they hit us with £1600 maintenance fee each year, meaning our 'bargain' will now cost us another £60,000 or more over 30 years! WE need to get out!"

"Purchased GVC/Sunterra a few years ago and have tried to get out as I can no longer afford the rising maintenance fees. Paid sales company to try and sell them to no avail. I never agreed to change to DRI. I would like advice on cancelling my points and claiming my money back please."

"I bought 2 weeks in Diamond Club Calypso in 2004 from a reseller (Timeshare Computer Link - no longer trading as far as I can ascertain) and converted the weeks into RCI points. My contract was "in perpetuity". Maintenance fees are much higher now and generally I can't find suitable exchanges on RCI..."
